What’s Plastic Thermoforming?

It’s a plastic molding technique used to produce finished parts from raw plastic sheets. The process involves heating plastic sheets to specific temperatures for easy manipulation. When a pliable state is reached, the workpiece is formed over a mold. Once the final shape is obtained, cooling occurs. Any extra material is trimmed off the finished item.

Custom plastic thermoforming offers a variety of benefits. Examples include:

  • Low Tooling Cost

  • Short Lead Times

  • Quality Finished Product

  • High-Speed Production

  • Fast Prototyping

  • Flexible Process

  • Easily Adaptable To Customer Needs

  • Wide Selection Of Plastics Can Be Used

  • Extensive Finishing Options

Custom Shipping Options

Receiving damaged or late orders of plastic parts can derail your production schedule. We’re proud to offer many shipping options.

Large orders shipped by a freight carrier come custom packaged on a pallet, minimizing the chances of damage. Corner protectors are applied to all four sides and cardboard is used to cover the material, which is banded together. Each pallet includes a protective plastic sheet below all purchased plastic sheeting. This rules out possible nail damage.

For smaller ground shipments, the item size determines the appropriate packaging method. The smallest possible cardboard box is used. Special packaging is available upon request. Just notify your sales representative, who will work with you on any requirements.

What’s more, you can set up your own shipping solution. A handling charge is added to the order to cover the cost of packaging. Please note the packaging prices are not included in our parts cost unless requested.
